Sonaselection Strengths
Geographical advantage
The company operates a manufacturing facility in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, leveraging the region’s integrated textile ecosystem for skilled labor, reliable suppliers, and ancillary support. The plant is environmentally compliant and centralized for end-to-end cotton fabric processing, enhancing efficiency, coordination, and consistent output quality
Integrated business model
The company operates an integrated model combining in-house manufacturing with job-work processing, enhancing quality control, capacity utilization, and operational flexibility. Since establishing its own cotton processing plant in July 2024, it has converted greige fabric to finished fabric in-house, improving production oversight, efficiency, and product consistency
Customers retention
The company has established trust and reliability across the market by delivering fabrics tailored to specific quality, volume, and delivery requirements. This capability has helped build strong customer partnerships and ensure consistent satisfaction
Sonaselection Risks
Depend on raw material
The company’s manufacturing operations depend heavily on the availability and pricing of yarn and greige fabric, which are key raw materials. Any fluctuation in their supply or cost, or higher working capital requirements, may adversely impact production, profitability, and cash flows
Competition
The company operates in a highly competitive textile industry and faces pricing pressure, rapid technological changes, and industry consolidation. Inability to compete on quality, pricing, customer relationships, or timely delivery against larger and integrated players may adversely affect its market position and financial performance
Energy intensive business
The company’s manufacturing operations are power-intensive and depend on reliable electricity, and any disruption in grid supply could delay production and impact performance. To mitigate this risk, the company has installed solar power and a steam turbine and plans to commission a 1.1 MW rooftop solar project for captive use
